The Wildings Hotel, Llandudno
Overview
The Wildings Hotel is a family-run Victorian seafront hotel on North Parade in Llandudno, opposite the pier. The beach is about a minute’s walk away. Many of the hotel’s 30 individually decorated rooms look out across the bay. Cats are welcome in designated pet-friendly rooms, with up to two pets permitted in total. The hotel also has its own restaurant and bar, Tudno’s, and a front terrace overlooking the bay.
The Property
The rooms were refurbished in 2022. Beds are king-size or twin in most rooms, and there are family rooms that sleep up to five. Every room has a private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, luxury toiletries, a TV, a hairdryer, an extra room heater, a fan and Wi-Fi. Depending on the room, bathrooms have a bath with a shower above or a walk-in shower.
Room choices include sea-view rooms on the first and second floors, some with bay windows and window seating. There are also partial sea-view rooms on the third floor and smaller double rooms at the back of the hotel. The Alice Suite is a sea-facing first-floor suite with a bay window, a separate seating area with a double sofa bed and a corner whirlpool bath. The Rhoda Suite is a sea-facing junior suite on the second floor with a king-size bed and a separate sitting area.
Downstairs, Tudno’s Restaurant and Bar serves lunch and dinner daily and welcomes non-residents. Breakfast is served each morning. There is a bar lounge and a coffee lounge to relax in, and in fine weather you can eat and drink on the terrace at the front of the hotel.
The hotel has a rich history. Alice Liddell, who inspired Alice in Wonderland, stayed here as a child in 1861, and the hotel’s suites are named after the story. The hotel does not have its own car park. Pay-and-display on-street parking is available directly outside.
For the Cat
Cats are welcome, with up to two pets permitted in total. Pets stay in designated pet-friendly rooms, which can be requested when booking, and must be supervised. Food and water bowls are available. A charge of £22.50 per pet, per night applies.
Accessibility
The hotel has a lift serving most floors, so most rooms can be reached without using the stairs. A small number of standard rear rooms are reached by stairs. Some bathrooms have walk-in showers.
