Accommodation Options

The park offers two-bedroom caravans sleeping up to four guests and three-bedroom caravans accommodating up to six, alongside a selection of lodges.

Layouts, facilities and outdoor spaces vary between accommodation options. Selected caravans and lodges enjoy views of Swanage Bay or the surrounding hills, while some include a private hot tub for relaxing outdoors.

Camping

Coastal Heights provides informal summer camping on grass pitches with views across Swanage Bay and the Jurassic Coast. The camping area is suitable for tents only; touring caravans and motorhomes are not accepted, and there are no electric hook-ups.

Pets are welcome, with a standard supplement of £3 per pet, per night. Camping is seasonal, with opening dates and minimum stays shown when booking.

The Park

The park has a relaxed atmosphere, with a children’s play area, shared laundrette and reception offering local information. Free Wi-Fi in self-catering accommodation is suitable for light browsing, with higher-speed upgrades available.

There is no on-site bar, restaurant or shop. Head into Swanage for groceries, cafés, pubs and restaurants, or enjoy fish and chips beside the waterfront.

Parking is available on the park, although a space immediately beside your accommodation is not guaranteed.

For the Cat

Cats are welcome in designated pet-friendly accommodation, with up to three pets permitted per holiday home booking. Include your cat when booking and pay the applicable pet supplement in advance.

The standard charge is £9 per pet, per night in self-catering accommodation and £3 per pet, per night for camping. Promotional offers may vary, so check the amount payable when booking.

Pets must not be left unattended in the holiday accommodation. Cats are not permitted inside communal park buildings.

Accessibility

Swanage Coastal Park is set on a hillside and is not recommended for guests with mobility issues or walking difficulties.

Location

The park sits above Swanage, with the town within walking distance, although the hillside setting means an uphill return. Swanage has a sandy beach, promenade and historic pier, alongside independent shops and places to eat.

Nearby Durlston Country Park offers coastal walks, wildlife watching and a visitor centre at Durlston Castle. Explore the surrounding Purbeck countryside or follow stretches of the South West Coast Path for views along the Jurassic Coast.

For a different way to discover the area, Swanage Railway runs heritage trains through the countryside towards Corfe Castle and Norden. Corfe Castle village and its hilltop ruins make another rewarding outing during a coastal stay.
