Overview

Set in the Ceredigion countryside near the village of Cross Inn, this characterful 200-year-old stone cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms and welcomes cats. Traditional features sit alongside real luxuries. There are ceiling beams, a stone-walled twin bedroom and a woodburner in the cosy lounge, plus a private hot tub in the enclosed garden. A small gas BBQ and fire pit make the garden ideal for cooler evenings. The stone cottage stands opposite a farm smallholding, with Aberaeron, New Quay and the beaches of Cardigan Bay all within easy reach.

The Property

The traditionally styled lounge is full of country charm, with sofas, board games and a woodburner. A traditional bread oven set into the wall is an unusual central feature. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, half-size freezer and dishwasher. Home-cooked meals can be enjoyed at the four-seater round table.

The ground-floor double bedroom has ceiling beams. Upstairs, the gallery-style twin bedroom has beams and a rustic stone wall. The recently refurbished ground-floor bathroom has a large panelled shower cubicle, WC and a wash basin with an illuminated mirror. A handy utility room has a washing machine and space for muddy boots after countryside or coastal adventures, and it has its own side entrance.

Outside, the plant-filled enclosed garden has a four-seater patio table for al fresco dining. The private hot tub is reached by steps, and there is a small gas BBQ and a fire pit. Additional shared areas across the smallholding offer peaceful walks. On-site parking is available, Wi-Fi is free, and the stone cottage is non-smoking.

For the Cat

Cats are welcome.

Accessibility

The double bedroom and the bathroom are both on the ground floor. The twin bedroom is on the first floor.
