Location

Llandogo lies in the heart of the Wye Valley, approximately three miles north of Tintern and eight miles south of Monmouth. The cottage offers a base for combining countryside days with visits to the towns and villages along the Welsh border.

For walking, nearby Whitestone has woodland routes and viewpoints over the valley. A circular walk of approximately two miles takes in Cleddon Falls, where water tumbles down the wooded slopes above Llandogo. The Wye Valley Walk also passes through the village on its route between Chepstow and Monmouth.

Tintern Abbey is around a nine-minute drive from the cottage, with its roofless Gothic ruins standing beside the River Wye. Other options for days out include Chepstow Castle, Monmouth and the woodland attraction of Puzzlewood. Kayaking, fishing and cycling are among the activities available in the wider area.
