Pickmere Country House is a small, family-run hotel in the Cheshire village of Pickmere, around ten minutes by car from Knutsford. Set in a Grade II listed Georgian house dating from 1772, it offers a characterful village base for countryside walks, historic gardens and days exploring Cheshire.
Accommodation is booked by room, with double and twin options for two guests and a larger family room accommodating up to five. For a stay with your cat, the ground-floor Garden Annex offers a separate entrance and views over the rear garden.
The Property

The Garden Annex is attached to the main house along the terrace. It has a king-size bed, an en-suite shower room, a dressing table/desk, television, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Its separate entrance makes it an appealing choice for guests who prefer accommodation away from the upstairs rooms.
Free Wi-Fi is available. Shared spaces include a breakfast room and a guest sitting room with a gas-fired stove, books, a piano and board games. Outside, the terrace and small garden provide tables, chairs and benches for relaxing.

The main house has upstairs bedrooms and no lift. There are steps on the usual route from the car park into the house, and the alternative front entrance has a small step. Discuss your access requirements with the hosts before choosing a room.

Pickmere combines a village setting with easy access to the Cheshire countryside. Nearby Pick Mere offers a local setting for a walk beside the lake, while Knutsford is around ten minutes away by car and Northwich is approximately three miles away.
Tatton Park is a rewarding choice for a day out, with extensive deer parkland, walking trails, landscaped gardens and a historic mansion. Arley Hall and Gardens offers formal gardens, a woodland garden and woodland walks. Both are within a short drive of the house.
Other nearby outings include Lion Salt Works Museum and Gauntlet Birds of Prey. For guests arriving with bicycles, the Cheshire Cycleway is approximately two miles away, and overnight cycle storage is available at the house.
